Mr Punch celebrated his own 350th anniversary in
May 2012. It was in 1662 that Samuel Pepys wrote
in his famous diary how much he had enjoyed a
puppet show in Covent Garden, and especially one
comical character named Punchinello. This is the
first record that we have of Mr Punch and Punch
performers celebrate the date, May 9th, as our
hero's birthday. This great show will capture
children and adults alike.
